This writing intensive course is designed to help students improve their writing proficiency in the language of Spanish. Students will learn formal and stylistic concepts of the Spanish language, and will implement this knowledge through practice and exposure to different writing genres, including the argumentative essay, the cover letter and resumé, the journalistic report, the research paper, and the creative piece. In its interdisciplinary approach, the course guides students in exploring writing as a vehicle for critical thinking, professionalization, and self-expression. Weekly exercises in stylistics and composition are designed to promote students’ successful interaction in multilingual and multicultural environments.

This section is completely taught online via Blackboard. Social media platforms are used to create  and online learning community and a safe space for students to communicate with each other and with Spanish speakers around the world.
