ENGH 202 - A05: Oil Culture

This course investigates the complex, imaginative relationship between oil –an essential, yet mostly invisible, commodity—and American and Global culture. Using films, novels, nonfiction, and documentaries from the US, Nigeria, and South America this course will explore oil’s cultural presence and narrative forms in order to understand the many ways it is imbricated in our existence.
