Metacognition as a Transformative Process in Teaching and Learning.

Dr. Foster is an Academic Director at the Association of College and University Educators, an Assistant Professor of English at Germanna Community College, and an Adjunct Writing Instructor at American University. Dr. Foster earned her PhD in 2023 in Writing and Rhetoric from George Mason University. Her research study focused on metacognition as a transformative process in teaching and learning. Dr. Foster's recent publications can be found in the Inquiry: The Journal of Virginia Community College Systems, TYCA-SE journal, Pro-Quest, and elsewhere.
