Jason Grant

Jason Grant is a PhD student in the GMU Writing and Rhetoric program. He serves as the Director of Advocacy for the International City/County Management Association following a sixteen year career as a communications director in local government. Jason is particularly interested in the ways in which language and discourse shape social norms, influence public sentiment, and spur political action. Through the lens of rhetorical criticism, Jason's research investigates the relationship between local government and the people within its jurisdiction.
